| Resting time for every 4 hour 30 minute period | 45 minutes non-stop or a first stop of a minimum of 15 minutes, followed by a second stop of 30 minutes |
| Maximum daily driving period | 9 hours (can be brought up to 10 hrs, twice a week) |
| Daily rest period | 11 hours (can be brought down to 9 hrs, three times a week) |
| Length of working day | 12 hours maximum, which can be brought up to 13 to 14 hours by special dispensation. Beyond this, a second driver is obligatory. |
